What GPS software does everyone use? Its for a laptop with a usb gps device

Whilst on this thread, I use Oziexplorer as a trip and waypoint manager on my laptop and then upload the way points to the GPS.

I am currently looking at getting either Mapsource Metroguide or City Navigator for in car navigation through the GPS unit. Which one is a better option for four wheel drive tracks etc? Also is it worth getting the Topograph software they are offering now also?
