Remember guys for those that worry about any road Ks then this is one you need not worry about as non of it is on road. So if you want to trailer to the park you can leave your trailer safely at the office.

Remember too that Sat nite is RiverFire , I will be setting the route up to include a run up to the top of the CityView lookout , so you can stop n watch the fireworks , or continue on and play. Pity the F111 is not doing the dump n burn as the last 2 years they were in a holding pattern over Beaudesert and we used the spotlights to light them up.

The run is spectator friendly so even if you dont want to compete come along tour around and watch.

As Chris mentioned , we need some Stage Commanders. There are 5 stages , with min 2 people per stage with uhf's. If you can help please call me on 0424568886. If you volunteer to help , its free and you can also drive the run.

See you all on the night.

Cheers

We've changed the start time to leave at 6.20 to time with the river fire thing !
So be there on time or a little early !!

Thanks to all those who attanded , I had a ball running around and actually driving some stages for a change. I believe there was some carnage too. I can start the list ;

My passengers door wont open after landing on a boulder in SS2 and at the 60pt exit I went back for a rear coil spring out of the Jimny only to find it hanging from the trailing arm , LOL.

Congrats to those who competed and scored a place.

Please post some pics for all to see..........................

Peter

PS I found the Tyre with our signs on it and its back where it belongs , (someone is a funny bugger)

Thanks to the Logan club, and Pete at Cityview for putting on another good run. We had a good night between the 3 trucks... albeit with a very secondhand looking Patrol side, a broken lux diff and a surf that came out completely unscathed... the ONLY time i have ever been into Cityview and come out with a repair bill. (All my own fault of course, not blaming anyone but myself for that).

Pete,

A point i thought of on the way out that i don't believe was discussed... what happens about all the vehicles using the exit road on the way out of the park and the horses? I know we saw 3 horses on our way out of the park. Are you guys covered by the lockdown? Should all vehicles have washed their vehicles down when leaving the park?

Thanks Peoples,

On the note of the horses , I guess appethy is not an excuse , I will ask some questions. The horses are the land owners that I lease half the park from. They are always on the front part of the property as insurance prohibits them from being in the areas we use for camping. As for the ones near the office , They are my neighbours and I have told them that they cant be up near the office on the weekend. The office is to be moved soon to the park office. (The site office on the road in) It is my belief that all the horses on the office land and the land traversed into and out of the park are clear of infection and Im guessing that the only problem is if someone brought the infection in with them from their horses or any horses that they were in contact with. I will ask some more questions and do some checking , for the benifit of all you horse owners and the owners of the ones here. Thanks.

As for the stolen property , some of the tyres were taken from the office and some stuff moved around. I havent taken much notice of what may be missing as I am immobilised a little from my bike accident last week. Driving on the run only made it worse , so I have been layed up , But it was so worth it , I actually had fun for a change. (well mostly , but we wont go there) One other thing is that someone stole the City-View sign from the end of Sandy Creek Road and hid it. I did find it , but it must have been an effort dismantling it from the trailer and rolling it down the road , as its attached to a tyre from a front end loader. Anyway If anyone hears anyone sprouting about this , the stolen lights or anything else , I hope you know to do the right thing. I am not worried about whats missing of my stuff but stealing spotlights from a tow vehicle is low. I hope the culprit is found.

OK so where are the pics. There were some great stages and I designed them to get harder and harder as you go on for those who like it tough. Who drove what and where is the action shots?

Thanks again to those who came and played had fun and went home smiling.
