Sump plug

Post by PeterAC »

Sorry guys but I am struggling.

I'm delving into the world of do it yourself, with no mechanical knowledge but willing to ask the dumb questions, ' exactly where the hell is the sump plug to change the oil on my 2001 cruiser turbo diesel ' . No, this is not a joke, diagram please. I'm sick of forking out money for something I can do but need to be pointed in the correct direction.

A more tech question will follow about a faulty fuel guage on the cruiser after I change the oil.

Thanking you in advance.

Cheers Peter<><

Have you never seen a sump plug before or just can't quite locate it on the cruiser?

Try looking on the bottom of the sump. Should be a single bolt around 14-16mm in size. It should stick out like dog's balls or ball. If you can' find a sump I'd suggest you get a mate to help you through it for your first time before you f*^&K sumething up... And get a workshop manual.

If it's the 5 speed - they don't have one.

Filled for life (or so they claim)

Huh? Would that be the new auto transmissions you are referring to?
