going price of a GUIII 4.2TD?

Post by skivvia »

Hi

I am currently looking at a 4.2L turbo diesel GUIII (2003 model).

I am looking to get one through an auction, so am wondering what should I expect to pay (when I can find one...).

Also, do the GUIIIs have computers, or are they all mechanical like the earlier 4.2s

Thanks
skivvia

P.S. if anyone knows of one on offer, I might be interested...

recently (3 months ago) i paid $33k Private Sale for a 2001 GUII 4.2TD ST wagon white with 200km's on the clock. Immaculate condition, service history including when each of the tyres had been rotated  . Pretty stock except for 16" mags, trailer braks kit and Moptsons Stage II power upgrade

Great vehicle and love it to bits, have done heaps since then!!
GU 4.2 TD Garrett BB Hi-flow, M8274 + Bells & Whistles with plenty of fruit still on the list!

Hi, to add my 2 cents worth, i got my GU through pickles Auctions for 27k last year. fully decked out with LRA tanks and other bits and pieces. wasnt a bad price considering my local yard wanted me to part with 39,990.

To my knowledge, it doesnt have a computer like the 3.0L

if your going to auctions at moment take care to lift the carpet - we looked at a 100 series last week, and it had 1/2 a riverbed under the carpet.

then looked - it was from Gippsland - where its flooded recently! All the flood damaged cars are going through at moment.
