Speedwerx, works fine but you are limited to just over 90 degrees. Adjacent bends can be a problem, but you can design around it.
I prefer the look of the JD2 type but they weren't readily available here when I got mine.

Got a CBC bender with the computer attachment. Had it for 4 years now and bend 50+ bends a day 5 days a week and so far not a hitch. Also bends 180, just type in the degree and away it goes.

it should do the job well... I know a few guys have had cheap bow and arrow benders with a proper dawn die.. and they have no issues at all..Red_Zook wrote:just orderd though work..

Its mainly the chinese dies that have the problems.
custom bar work, 4x4 parts, trailers, anything out of steel/alloy :D
Yes they are very sweet and avaliable in all states but as all good electronic things, it makes the JD series look cheap.
But you get what you pay for and it is a industrial type bender.

I can supply any die for the Model 3 or 4 Bender...ausyota wrote:Can you get dies for the JD2 to suit pipe ie 32NB and 40NB or do they only do tube?
eg: if you have a material that specifically uses say... 28.4mm.. then it will be done..
The only down side is the time frame to build it. usually 10 days + shipping time ex USA.. pm me if you need any further info...
All NB sizes are on the stock list, but as yet I have not seen any reason to carry them... by end of year the popular sizes will be a regular stock item. ie. 25NB / 32NB & 40NB

I like to really test out stuff before i buy, how do you feel about me bringing in say enough pipe to build an exo, and testing out your benders and notchersTEAM OPW wrote:

We were looking at benders last night and looking at basic bow and arrow style ones.
I noticed the chinese dies are cast, but im assuming good ones are machined.
How much difference does this make for home use? cause there are bits of rubbish available for like 250 with a bunch of dies and they supposedly work on up to 3 inch tube. i was assuming the first thing i would have to do is reinforce the actuall frame a bit. they look pretty thin.
looking at making an exo for a sierra, plus the odd bit of bar work.
If you cant bend 180 deg, do you just bend two 90's then weld and grind?
and last but not least, what does the average shop charge to bend a pipe for you? eg for making a snorkle, or if you needed at 180 deg bend which i cheapy cant do so you need a one off.
sorry about all the q's im a newb at benders.

for a snorkle just buy s/steel bends they are cheap as, or use the rubber ones although they are about 3x the price. i made this for my bro's sierra out of 2.5" 316thehanko wrote:I like to really test out stuff before i buy, how do you feel about me bringing in say enough pipe to build an exo, and testing out your benders and notchersTEAM OPW wrote:
