Which 100 series to buy

Post by src071 »

Thinking of getting a 100 series for a family car, just wondering whether to get a petrol/gas or a turbo diesel, Auto or manual, we want to spend up to about 25k.

Ive got my 60 for serious fun but this will be used on moderate tracks not just for trips tothe shops ! Any ideas ?

Hey,

Dad's got the FZJ105 (i think) it's the petrol V8 auto. Not sure how much these go for now but it's an '04 model which he bought at the start of the year for 40K, which i know is over your budget but i'm sure some earlier ones will be around the 25K mark.

It's a really comfy car to drive and has plenty of seats for all the family. Off-road it's not too bad, although we haven't really put it through its paces yet. On road it's smooth and quiet and isn't too bad on fuel either, averaging about 16-18L/100km in town and probably close to about 13ish on the highway.

If there's anything else you want to know just give me a bell.
