BATHURST NAVRUN 15th 16th Sept.

Post by cebarry »

Where are all the NSW navigators???....come on guys and gals we need to support Rudi and all the effort he put in, lets fill those remaining team spots or he's not going to be keen to come across the border.
Camping is at Sunny Corner again.....which isn't too far away for most to get to, excellent tracks and a beaut area.
It's a fun weekend and excellent for those who wish to brush up on their navigating for Cliffhanger next July......practice makes better!.....and lets face it, we don't get many opportunities do we.
Have a go and you'll be hooked......I betcha!

This is a great weekend of fun and easy driving. You get to meet new and interesting people from all over!

We did the last one and had the greatest time. Would recommend it fr anyone to try!

Our team will be back in again this year, minus me as I will be overseas :(

Everyone should get behind this event as we need more of these types of compeitions for family to come and enjoy!

We have a Land Rover going up from Vic to battle the state of origin ... that's gotta be a worry...

Rudes reports great progress in setting up. Call him on 0428 534 102 if you muster up that last minute courage to take on our Landie ...

He has two numbers. CDMA. 0427 908 464. Is the best one to get him on. Don't know which one you have??

Hope you all have fun out there..
A few tips for you.
Remember your trig, A squared + B squared = C Squared.

Also so.. North isn't always up

And Sometimes red is orange

That is all!

Good luck everybody

We're back.....and how good was it too.....
First of all thanks to Rudi and his Dad Peter....for another great weekend and congrats to all, particularly the newbies who came along and did so well.....
Rudi made us work hard....doesn't he always...but when u get it right there's nothing so gratifying :D .....promise.
we unfortunately got off to a slow start on Sat's course and wasted far too much time trying to find one compulsory, next time we will limit our search time cos the rest of the day we had to try and cram the rest in...and play catchup.....not succeeding either. But we still had heaps of fun and the tracks/ driving was awesome.
Sun we woke entusiatically to improve only to realise we had no clue how to follow a 'Stick Map' in reverse!!! ....he he so we finally gave up trying and then did the arvo course and actually managed to do it well, which lifted our spirits some! But overall it didn't help!
BUT the main thing is we learnt heaps yet again and will def. continue.......
In the meantime can anyone help teach us 'oldies' how to read a reverse stick map????? ;)
Thanx again one and all for a g8 weekend.
See you all at the next in the Wattagans!.
Cheers,

Thanks to Rudi and Peter for running another great event in NSW. Congratualtaions to the Maitland Maniacs for the win. As Ceilia mentioned Team Just 2 Nisans had a little trouble with the stick maps in reverse. We rarely have to reverse driving Nissans so we have had no practice. I certainly look forward to the next navrun in NSW,third time will be lucky for us.Brian and Barb
