I had an eletrical fire under the dash from being lazy.

I had a fuse that kept blowing as soon as the headlights were turned on, so i just made a no-blow fuse using a piece of wire. All was good for awhile i was out 4wdin at night and saw a light flashing down near my feet. The insulation melted of the wire and started to melt my fuse box and caught fire.

Found the short. It was in the rear light harness about 7 wires had rubbed through on the chassis.

And boner its because some wreckers are lazy farks who only own a pair of side cutters and dont know how to undo things...

It's obviously something you've done where the wires have been cut. Find a FSM or live with what you've got. If your not sure on wiring and power then you shouldn't really stuff with it. You can only end up with more problems.

Don't mean to sound harsh mate, but I'm in the game and things really do go bad if things get mixed up.

nar just leave it - itll spin people out when you go on a long drive and gain fuel =P tell them its got a flux capacitor!!! eheh

i had my fuse box melt and didnt even know it till i blew a spotlight fuse - went to change that and saw a lump of plastic under the dash with fuses melted in place - would have been totally screwed if one of them blew!!!
I got a auto elec to re-route the ones that were stuck into new fuses behind the box (glass type screw ins).
