Painless 'cirkit' boss install problems

Post by Ben »

I've tried to install one of these - a Painless wiring aux circuit/fuse box to run all the accessories off. Wired it up as instructed, tested everything with the ignition acc switch on, all worked fine. Finished the install, went to start the heep and nothing. A slight 'something' in a flash (like a fuse blowing) and then nothing. Won't start, wont do anything. The heep's dead.

Before I pull it all apart again in the daylight tomorrow morning, anything obvious I should look for?

Did you install the circuit breaker pictured on th bottom left , could be shagged , but if it don't start I would check your fuses first and any fusable link/circuit breakers factory fitted to the vehicle , you might have a short on the new wiring loom , Cheers Paul.

Yep, circuit breaker installed as instructed - it all worked when I just turned to ACC on the ignition - then when I tried to actually start it something popped. Of course it happened just as daylight faded, so I might have to jump on the pushie in the morning and get a tester to see if I can find the short.
