Brake Warning Light Won't Turn Off

Post by Spimon_NH »

I had my brakes off the other day. Put them back on and bled them but now my 'Brake' (just 'Brake' not Park Brake) warning light on the dash won't turn off.
They're all bled and there's plenty of fluid in the reservoir and they work fine.

Anyone have any idea what I've done?

sounds like the pressure differential switch has not returned. sometimes stomping on the pedal really hard can reset them, if not may have to remove switch and try and rest the rod inside the master cylinder.

Have you made sure that the low level warning float has not jammed in the reservior of the master??

Ah thanks guys. I'll give those a shot. I thought there had to be a switch somewhere.
I suspect it's the one in the master cylinder as the fluid level was pretty low for a while whilst I was bleeding them. I'll stick my finger in there or something, haha.
