NP231 Imfo...........

Post by Bitsamissin »

On a hunch I'm after the internal measurement (diameter) and spline count of an NP231 t/case input gear. I'm pretty sure it's a course 23 spline but I don't know the internal diameter I'm hoping it's 31.5mm then I can continue researching.
If anyone has one lying around or access to one I would really appreciate it.

Cheers, Frank.

Thanks for that Bill, it has helped, it's definitely a coarse 23 spline I just need that internal diameter measurement.
Might send them an email.
Or has any Jeep dudes in Melbourne got a tranny (auto or manual) laying about (separated from the t/case) so I could come over and SLIDE MY LARGE COARSE 23 SPLINE MITSU INPUT GEAR OVER THEIR LUBRICATED THICK JEEP OUTPUT SHAFT

Frank,
Would it be feasable to mail the greasy input gear to sydney for a fit check on that NP231J?

Al, I tried Marks 4wd Adaptors and they gave me a couple of local contacts to try one a huge Jeep joint here in Melbourne so I'll see how it goes.

Frank,
Did you get time to check on the 23 spline mitz/jeep issue and if so how did it come out?
Regards, Al.
