F50 and later models (Rocky)

Post by mcdura »

I was reading in a forum( can't remember which one) that the gear boxes can be swapped between F50/F20 and later Rocky's.

I would like some one to confirm this.

Ive swapped a 84 F50 box/transfer into a 79 F20 no worries but the ratios are different.
At the moment ive got a 89 f75 and the box looks the same as my 84 f20 scat ive got down the farm.Have been thinking about swapping it into my rocky to get rid off the vacum swithing 4x4 thingy.
4 & 5 speeds are different 5 spd is longer and different chassis mounting .

My book also states that the gearbox ratios are different between Turbo and N/A ~F70-75 models.
