2005 hilux wheels
Can anybody tell me if 15" x 7" wheel with a 0mm offset, will fit onto my 2005 model hilux. I like the look of the pro comp 1079 series wheels and want to fit pro comp x-terrain tyres but the lux comes std with 16" x 7" inch wheels and the x-terrains dont come in that size in a 31" tyre. The other option is to fit a larger wheel, such as 16" x 8" and a different type of tyre at 16" x 10.5". Wil the fitting of original type toyota SR5 flares be enough to contain the tyres without them protruding ?
I run a 16x8 with zero offset on my 07 hilux, and run 285's tyrewize.
The tread is under the flare but the bulging sidewalls stick out just past them. If you were to run 265's then you should be ok.
Be careful with the 15x7 wheels because (and dont quote me 100% on this) Ive heard that end of 06 or so models the calipers changed slightly and 15 inch wheels will rub, then again some wheels do have clearance. Its a bugger I know and an expensive excersize.
I have a set of 3 weeks old mags in 16x8 and -5 offset for sale if your interested, brand new, swapped them for 16x8 sunnies to go offroad. so would be fine with a 265 on them.
