G'day all,
Having some major probs getting this nut off due to the pushed on section on the lip of the nut, have tried using hammer and screw drivers to get in behind it and try to bend the indent out, was no good as the metal seems too strong to bend out or get the flat blade in behind it, one mate reccomended using a chisel i have tried this and seems i am just making a mess of the indented section on the nut.
Anyone else can reccomend a way of getting this darn thing off?
Its a 2.8d hilux.
Cheers
Bandit

Nut holding yoke/flange on transfer case

drill a small 3mm or so hole through the nut one on each side and split with a small cold chisel.
(the drill on the same plane as the tailshaft)
had to do it a few times, saves breaking things as bugger all force required. just be careful not to go too close to the threads on the output shaft, and you will need a new nut (should do anyway)
