hey guys, currently planing on redoing the rear frame of one of my projects in tube, the car in question is a 89 dual cab rodeo 2wd. Im wondering what size tubing u guys have used for buggys and such and what u would recommend for this application. and also were do most guys get there tube in brisbane for a decent price?

oh yea it will prob end u p being a 3/4 frame from just behind the front control arm mounts as to retain factory steering setup. hopefully some of u buggy guys read these n can shed some light! thanks

32NB medium or heavy wall. For your application it sounds like medium wall would be the go. Before you ask, get a cheap-ass bow and arrow bender and a dawn die and your set.

Just a small point but buggies are built to handle rolling over without damage and so use heavier tube than most other motorsports. If it is not going to be rolled a lot then what about 38mm 2.6 medium tensile tube? It is a lot lighter and is what most winch trucks build there internal cages out of. It is what I've built my entire exo-cage, deck and bar out of. The worst part is a bow and arrow bender won't bend it correctly! :(

i would stay with atleast medium wall pipe if you are going to bend it with a bow and arrow type bender because as said before it wont bend properly and you will end up with out of round bends kinks etc.
Tube is what we use in our buggies because it suits the draw through type benders like a jd2 the dies are only meant for tube not pipe.
But pipe will be fine for what you want to do with it.
