Lost power. Injector clean good?

Post by gecko270 »

Recently I had noticed that I have severly lost power and fuel consumption had gone through the roof from an average of 440km to 40L down to 300Km to 40L on 215/75R15 Hankook Dynamic MT's. Had the car serviced recently with no real change in power. This morning I threw in a bottle of Injector cleaner and filled the tank up with 98 octane and bugger me she goes now.

I'll monitor the fuel consumption over the next few tanks and go back to 94 octane and see how it goes.

Hopefully this just proves that the injectors need doing.

Has anyone else had this sort of drama and how have you fixed it or what have you noticed?

Cheers all

i always put highest octane i can in the zook. tends to go a lot better.
when i filled it with 94 it just lost so much power, so thats how i justify the extra buck here and there..
glad your issue was easy to fix mate
