3L not stating

Post by Weiner »

Hey guys,

Went to move my Hilux this arvo, went to turn the key and only the battery light came on, none of the other ones, healights will still work, head unit doesn't, but it won't start.

Checked all the battery leads and earths and they seem right.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Aidan

Charge it  maybe pull it out and take it to battery joint or mech workshop and get it load tested
plenty of parts on the bench

Nope, battery is all good, tried jump starting it, swapping batterys.

Nothing in the car works but the headlights/hibeam and the hibeam light on the dash, only it and the battery light come on.

As Ruff said.

Check the fuses, particularly the ones under the bonnet on the drivers side back from the batt.

Thanks guys, problem found, the guy I bought the car off had tried to do a dodgy on the fuses in the engine bay by doing the ol solder trick, was cracked, time to go get a proper fuse I think
