will sierra wheels fit 30'' tyres?

Post by gumtree »

i have one set of wheels and 2 sets of tyres ( 1 for mud & 1 for sand). i dont want to continually pay $50 for a shop tp keep swapping my tyres over when i need them. my sand tyres are 235/75 R15, which wheel size would hold in the sand tyre in better when deflating, stock sierra wheel ( 15x5.5 ) or sunny ( 15 x 7 ) or it doesnt matter that much? :D im just curious more than anything.

zook rims will take a 30inch tyre, i run stock zook rims with 32x 10.5s and they hold on very well at low PSI, i have had mine down to 4PSI on rock and had no troubles with them at all.

IMHO, the narrower the rim, the better it should hold the bead, but dont quote me on that

hope that helps
Zooks are for people that aren't afraid of angles and who have nothing to compensate for

the 15 x 7 willl help the side walls better in the sand but the 5.5" works well just dont turn hard suddenly in wet sand with low psi, the tyre will roll around more in the 5.5" then the 7"
I am runnin 30" on 5.5 rims, only had them down to 12psi so far and no probs yet
my 2c
I hate going to weddings because all the grandma's used to poke me in the ribs saying you're next, you're next. They've stopped doing it since I started doing it to them at funerals.
