MU 2.8 power upgrades

Post by rocknferoza »

A mate of mine owns a 2.8 turbo diesel Mu and wants some more power out of it. It has got a bigger tail pipe on it and it's running 9-10 psi boost. Standard boost is 7-8 psi so he told me.
Apparently my mate was told a 3 inch exhaust off the back of the turbo wouldn't fit because theres not enough room. Is this true :?:
How much more boost could he run :?:

Thanx
James

Stick a Jackeroo intercooler on it. You have to rotate the housing on the turbo though!! but the rest bolts up.

Not sure about the 3" as I am yet to do that and I was thinking of making my own dump pipe off the turbo...

The boost on the MU I think is fairly high as standard, like the rodeos, I had before the MU was at 11psi standard.
Go hard or go home!!!

I was under the impression that the 2.8 TD in the Rodeo was a "low pressure" turbo :?: :?: I'm in the process of trying to get enough cashola to get something done about it on a dyno..... but i need to wait until Santa Claus releases the wallet :? Does the jackaroo intercooler take a lot of fitting?? sounds like the go to me!
