Getting seats installed and mod plated in Brisbane

Post by JJ »

Hi guys, I am looking at getting some bucket seats installed into my 91 hilux. Can anyone recommend a place in Brisbane, preferably the north side, that engineers and could fit some at a reasonable price. I have tried to do this before but ran into more trouble than it was worth as I didn‘t really have the tools or materials. I want to keep the car legal. Any help would be great.

Try get your hands on some seats off a wrecked surf. I scored a pair from 4wd wreckers at archerfield. Cost me 200. Straight swap bolts off and on. Since they are from another lux even though a surf no mods no need for mod plate. Sold the originals on ebay for 110 two nice bucket seats fully adjustable everything 90 bucks! Some surfs come with recaro buckets too. Very nice but exxy.
