internal roll cages

Post by MissDrew »

I have been talking about putting one in the lux for about 12 months now but the wife has been complaining about the $$$$ thing  But after standing there watching the lux go over on to its roof at nissan trials she now doesn`t care about the cost she just wants me to get one in it  Yep even thought peter and I were up side down in the lux laughing she was having a heart attack

So basicly straight after Woodpecker (within a couple of weeks) the lux is off the Melbourne to get caged out :D :D

The cage will be hopefully tucked write up into the roof (removing rooflining), it will go down though the dash and hopefully in behind the kick panels, and once it is all done I hope to get a new roof lining done so that when it is all finished all you will see is the 4 bars in each corner.

I know in behind the dash and the kick panels is going to be tight but hay I have faith :D

About the only thing that I`m not shore how it is going to happen is the cross bracing behind the seats as the top of the seats sit hard against the back wall.

Does anybody run a full internal cage in their lux? If so any pics of the bit behind the seats?

Before people jump in and start on external cages, I like the idea of them but I HATE!!!!!! the look of them and to me I like my rig to look bling bling so there :finger:

you couldn't cross brace inside a Hilux single cab

unless you have very short legs

so you can move the seat all the way forward

 ;) :?

no count your losses Guts and buy adual cab to build

and give your lux to me :D :finger:
