v6 in to 80series?????
a mate at work is wanting to know if anyone has done it and what where the results,
im thinking it wouldn't have the torque of the motor thats in it now,

unless it's a late model tdi v6 out of a merc or disco.
it's not worth the bother especialy with the comodore v6. even better off with the 3f motor.
most people will tell u to go 5l or up when changine motors in a 80 sereis.

I understand why a v6 appeals...heaps of low torque, coilpack crank ignition for runing under water, plenty of prts available cheap, and economical....however... running gas on a larger v8 would be more robust, adapters are readily availble, maybe a 5.7 efi has coilpacks too...

the ecotech's peak is around 3600rpm... and even then it's about as much as a stock 2f has at 1800rpm...
i love the way most holden fans have no idea about low down torque
