Andy, the only problem I could possibly see is the the air con lines coming through the firewall being in the way.

It's a bit hard to tell if the Feroza in the pic has got air con or not. :?:

battery

Post by Andy »

I've got a mate that's an auto sparkie and his idea is to make a dual battery set up which uses a large deep cycle battery for the main source of power that will one day run a winch and run power to my trailer for the fridge etc and use a regular small battery as a reserve starter , dunno the ins and outs but cos of the room issue this is the way to go , I've got everything for it but still have to get the tray , there about $100 from ORE , might make one

(  one more post & I'll crack the 100 mark   )

Yeah....my Air-con lines got in the way which is why I ended up with a modified Charade box.....eventually !!

Not sure about the deep cycle batteries.....heard somewhere that it lasts longer if you completely drain those types of batteries before recharging them. :?
I originally had a Rotronics Unit....trickle charge to second battery always.......not good for the deep cycle.

At one stage you could upload pics on the forum (which is how the ones above were posted) but the forum has crashed a number of times and all those pics have been lost.

I reckon! Top marks for actually using the search function.

(It would stop the locker/ LSD threads popping up every couple of weeks with the same info if more people used it! )

look on the bright side David, at least we :

1/ know there are still new Daihatsu owners out there
2/ know we arn't the only ones frustrated by the locker issue.
3/ gives us something to read in the Daihatsu section.

Its a bit like in the Zook section under "Carby Problems"......
( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.

from the www.xtreme4x4.gr store here in Greece a Feroza member found out that a snorkel SAFARI can fit to our car. When i have more details and from which model the SAFARI comes from i will post again.
