Post by 4WD WOG »

Hey guys,

Dads in the middle of tossing up between the dual cab utes.

He has the new ford ranger, mazda bt50 and navara in mind.

What would you choose and what do u all think is better?

The diesel Ranger is meant to be great, the petrol is said to be terrible.

Just to fill out the list, what about a Rodeo? I've heard mixed reviews but some people love them.

What's it for?

i've been a fan of the older rodeo's but the two new ones i've used (the V6 and the petrol 4) have both lacked torque and refinement. new hilux is beautiful to drive.

grab the latest 4x4 australia mag.. they did a test on the new dual cab utes... bt-50 and ranger could not complete the test for the same reasons(some problems with water and their computer systems didn't read that much into it...they are pretty much the same car from what ive heard just a few slight differences) it's funny that those 2 came 1st and 2nd on 4wd monthly dual cab ute test... the navara won the 4x4 australia one but came last in the 4wd montly test a few months back...
