The fuel filler on my sub tank is increadibly bdly designed, the fuel has to turn 90 degrees within the first foot, and makes it impossible to fill quickly.

The 90 degree bend is two pieces of pipe that are welded together, each cut at 45 degrees, so it is a hard bend.

I went in to the local repco and bursons last weekend, and niether was willing to give me advice on diesel fuel hose, stating that they only knew that the stock they held was ok for petrol.

Is there a special grade of rubber that needs to be used for diesel, or will any that is rated for fuel/oil do the job?

Diesel is much less corrosive than petrol (not corrosive at all I think??). If its ok for petty it stands to reason it should be fine for diesel :?

Rubber fuel hose is fine for diesel and petrol - just don't switch regularly.

Diesel and Petrol contain different amounts of aromatic hydrocarbons (toluene, benzene, etc) - aromatics make rubber swell depending on concentration.
