care to share the vehicle type ?
( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.

I'm guessing a Roza... Rockys dont have a chip :D And in the other post he wanted to know if an applause cam makes difference to a Feroza.

But yeh, it's better if you state what you have, including any relevant mods, first up. :D

Somehow I always get screwed up remembering if a US rocky is a Feroza etc etc.

Wish Daihatsu had been consistent in their names across the world.....

rocky or feroza is the vehicle type. u.s. 1990 se model

i hoped to talk to someone who is running the whole sytem see if its worth getting. its kinda 'spensive. i want the header for sure though. a local shop could weld some straights and mandrel bend for mt for the rest of the system.

thanks in advance

Just FYI, in many parts of the world a Rocky is a different vehicle to a Feroza. Its always worth spelling it out IMO otherwise you might get very confusing advice.

Have a look at www.warfs.org and they explain things much better than I can. And there's free PDF manuals, which I suggest you download if you are really into your Rocky/Feroza.... :?

for the money you'll spend on the mrts, it would likely work out about the same to go to an exhaust shop and have them fab you up a set of headers that are 4-2-1 flow for more bottom end grunt. or order lukey, which is the 4-1 flow.

i ordered hurrnicanes which are 4-2-1 flow but were made for right hand drive. couldnt get em to fit without hacking pipe 3, so i sold it instead. pod filter is an easy way to go, or you could get some bling by looking for the black box that came on the 91-92 ferozas. that would be my suggestion.

as for a cam.... well... buy my rocky, swap heads, and you have the applause cam,

i dont know anything about the mrt chip... cant say. maybe warfs.com mentions them but cant remember.

ya i have been cruising around warf. i do see the mrt header is pricey too
i was reading the old post on that black box too and it seems if you fabbed up a pod filter using 4" piping it would have the same effect.
volume over velocity,or i think thats how the black box works anyway....

i havent found a distributor for lukey the old links i checked werent working.

the chip i seen mentioned here for feroza only and on warf too. mrt got back to me and the billet mrt cam is no longer available and the exchange cam is $$$$$$$

and pv i definitly with get yours if i can!!

here is what they say...

Hi Jeff,

We could have your standard cam shaft reground if you were to send it to us, this would cost approximately $750 - 800.00 AUD.

Unfortunately the chip is no longer available. Yes we can ship the headers to the US, frieght would cost approximately $270.00 AUD, plus $15.00 AUD for insurance, and $20.00 AUD for the bank transfer fee.

For cams do a search on here and Google for "Ivan Tighe cams" - I think that's the company name?

IMHO the Applause one wouldn't be worth the effort unless you got it for free.
