Two girls in the little red sierra at Willowglen 2007

Hey good on you G60MAN for posting these. Amy and Jo's efforts at Willowglen were sensational considering that they had just got the vehicle back from having mods done late on Thursday and had absolutely no driving time. On the Sunday they got 386 out of 400 points (not sure on Saturday's effort).
The Suzuki Club was to have fielded two teams (men's and women's) at Willowglen but one of the guys who takes responsibility for preparing 4x of the team's vehicles came down with some health issues and was taken off the job, so we just fielded the one team combined with 2x women and 2x men drivers.
I look forward to seeing more of your work, especially Amy and Jo's efforts in the mud.

What Podge said, Amy were Jo were definatley inspirational.
Driving several perfect scores with an un-treid and un-tested truck is definately a credits to their skills. The truck was literally on the trailer straight to Willowglen.
You could hear them giggling from the banks during the mud run.
Personaly I would like to see more clubs doing all girl teams at events
for some pics

What was "strangely modified" about this truck?G60MAN wrote:Who remembers the two girls in the strangely modified red sierra from the suzuki club at willowglen 2007.
It's not a bad looking toy.

This little zook was bought from Paul from the Gold Eagle Club.
The rear suspension has lower trailing arms, an upper A-frame. The original springs have been reconfigured to a cantilevered layout.
You can sort of see it in the video

For long time now, the Suzuki 4 Wheel Club of NSW has always been produced competitive teams and Willowglen this year was no different. However, we're always open to more comp squad members joining us but you must be a full member to compete and only Suzuki 4WD's are allowed.mnemonix wrote:An impressive performance by all
One day we'll get Squik competing
We've even found that we have a good chef in Fool_Injected. I'm fan of Nando's chicken burgers but his were every bit as good as Nando's (just missing the extra hot Perri-Perri, can we have that next time Wayne).

nah i think its different to a 1/4 elliptic,it has a complete leaf spring pack upside down with a bump stop in the middle (where the diff would usually bolt to), on each side.......Toecutta wrote:Have I missed something, its just 1/4 elliptic, at least thats what I thoughtfool_injected wrote:It has this weird inverted leaf spring with A frame set up,

On extension the spring drop out of the bump stop channel for extra down travel
On compression only the back half of the spring flexes
The spring is kind of a control arm and spring in one
