ADR approved seating

Post by smee2u »

Has anyone got any thoughts on adr approved seating to go in my GQ shorty. Im aiming towards winch comps and cos of my size (lm a big guy and wide across the shoulders), want to head away from reclinable seating and go for fixed back. There are adr approved fixed back seats out there (have had a look at Auto technica-Monza seats), which are quite cheap but lm wondering how long they will last. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

my seat sits back against the harness bar( reclinable) on the B hoop of my roll cage so it supports it pretty well.

Its the shoulders part that your going to have the most trouble with. Most of the racing seats out there are designed for tight gear boxes and really inhibit your left arm movement.
That was the basis in which i bought mine.

(last seasons auto technica... which arnt made anymore)

I found some reclinable ADR approved seats that are still comfy for a bigger bloke (depending on your definition of bigger)

I have them sitting in a cupboard at home as i'm probably not going to put them in my GU. If you're up melbourne way i can pull them out for you to have a sit in to see if that brand is suitable. Only ones i found comfy.
