gday guys, just wonderin how a l28 4 spd box will stand up to a 253 v8 with say 33s on it?? not worried bout revin... just strenght wise??? are they strong enough? just got rid of a hilux with 253 cause it kept eating boxes, and dont want this again.

also marks no longer make any kits for mqs.... thats gay... why is this? means i will have to use dellows or rod shop....

hey mate, I bought a dellows kit for my 350 into mq and it was great completely hassel free. With very simple instructions if you can weld you can do the conversion.

As for the gearbox i've got a 350 crate motor making 290hp and 35's done 4000k's so far no probs, taken it off road get up it on the road but no skids or the likes. But i can't guarantee anything.

What did you do for a clutch fork boot? I bought a longy with a chev already fitted using a Dellows kit and when I asked Dellows what clutch fork boot to use they said they didn't use on as it was a good place for the clutch to breathe from :roll:
