I've got to say.. getting info is like pulling teeth.

Directions to the property:

The Snowy Mountains Challenge property is approx 19km niorth of Cooma, or 18km south of Bredbo. Turn to the west along Dromore Rd. The road turns to the right, then left. Proceed across the river crossing straight ahead. If in a 4wd please donot use the culvert river crossing as this is private property. The access ahead on the left. Follow the signs.

With the interstate teams attending, this should be one of the best comps of the year. I'll post up any info as I receive it. :D

Sorry pete was at work. As far as I know the plan was for him to drive his. Last comp it went to though. I think Juzza backed it of the trailer and it killed the turbo. But that was awhile ago.

Note havent read whole thread.

was a great event and a fantastic property.

lots of rocky hills , tight driving between trees and technical driving over rocks.

Friday afternoon black clouds rolled in over Chris Nash's rock farm. followed by 10 minutes of snow then some rain. It cleared up fairly quick for racing to start just after dark.

Friday night consisted of 2 short stages with some technical driving over rocks. and 1 long stage over rocks, some off camber hills and some fast driving through trees. after friday night we were leading with Pete coming second and Trent third.

Saturday consisted of 6 stages , most of them rocky hills, some small rocks and some big rocks, The last stage of the day was all downhill with a small section where a winch extension strap had to be attached to the back of the car and the car lowered down this section by the co-driver. the strap was wrapped around a tree to lighten the load on the co-driver. the rest of this stage was flat out down hill and lots of rocks. a few cars ended up with flat tyres on this stage. after saturday stages the same 3 cars were in the lead just in different spots, Pete then Trent then Us with only 20 points seperating us.

Sunday stages started on another section of the property , lots more driving through trees and some bigger rock to negotiate, these stages were great for drivers and 1 stage included a section of fenceline where we could pick up the pace a bit.

there wasnt as many competitors there as we would have liked, If the event is there next year I would hope we get a lot more as the property is perfect for these events.
Chris and Ben have supported many events in vic and I think we owe it to them to support this one.

Final placings were

1, Trent Leen & Dave Hickman
2, Pete & Shiloh
3, Me & Kevin Knott

Chippa was there taking pics so hopefully he will put some pics on here.
His was the only camera i saw all weekend

I took a few pics on the saturday will try and post up tonite - stay tuned.
From a spectators point of view, it was a pain in the neck to find info about the event, but the lack of spectators/ crowds made it pretty awesome once there.
