I'm also interested in know that .. does anyone have info about it ?

I know the 100 series come with 1.37" shaft and 32 splines compared to 1.31" shaft and 30 splines in 80 series ..

Buth both looks like 9.5" ring ..

No...100 series ring has internal threads, 80 series has drilled holes for bolts. Axles are splined different, so alot is diff-erent :)
...having said all that....the 100 series comes in 3 ratios...4.3, 4.1 and 3.9 depending on motor gearbox and model...for instance the lexus has 4.3's behind v8 auto, turbo diesel has 4.1's
Now you can put an 80 series diff in a 100 if you use the 100 side gears in it...but i believe the lsd needs modifying for them to fit....and for the effort, your better off buying the turbo diesel diff

Correct Andrew, the LSD has to be modified and it's more trouble than it's worth.
flog the ring out of it

100 lsd side gears fit straight into the 80 lsd ( have done it before )

Ok, so to fit 4.3's in the 80 diff, you get 80 side gears and put them in the 100 housing and away you go...slight grind of the gear relief in the housing...simply mark with 100 gasket...i am running 4.3;s but with a arb rear locker and 100 series axles/hubs/rims, and am happy with the extra strength built in and return of std low range gearing with 35's :)
