1ltr issues.

Post by spzook »

hey guys does anyone know if the 1ltr's have got a brake booster or just the master cylinder. im asking because i have replaced the drums with disc brakes on the front and me and the old man aren't sure wether i will now need one. we removed the non-return valve from the master cylinder but just want to be sure if a booster is needed or not.

also does anyone know where i can get the bolts and 'female' nut bolt things for a 1 inch body lift. i have a ute so there is only 2 bolts and 4 female thingy ones. i already have the blocks but not the bolts to put in on.

cheers

I hate going to weddings because all the grandma's used to poke me in the ribs saying you're next, you're next. They've stopped doing it since I started doing it to them at funerals.

No, disk braked front end 1.0 don't have a booster.

I swapped my 1.0 over to disk, it has no booster and I have no reason to fit one- pedal effort is higher than a 1.3 but it stops just as well. I like the positive feel of the unboosted brakes.

Remember a booster doesn't improve the outright power of the system, only reduces pedal effort (and often pedal feel)
