My Bj40 Build Thread

Post by _Mitcho_ »

Hey guys

im 16 and im from Sydney Australia! i bought my 40 just over a year ago now and i love working on it. its my first truck and i have learnt so much from this site i thought i would start to work on it. Anyway my stock B diesel was on its way out so i looked around and found one about 3 hours from my house so my father and i went out to pick it up, and as all of us know the cruisers can get abit rusty so i found a whole heap of parts in melbourne with no rust so once again my father and i went down to pick them up! anyway the parts and motor are in great condition, so i thought i better put them in just before i get my license in 9 weeks.

Anyway my plans are:

respray the truck

fit turbo and install motor

install front mount intercooler

clean up the chassis abit

remove all rust and weld up some of the random holes

fix front wheel bearing

fit my Pure Power oil and fuel filter

and about mid next year ill be lifting/bigger tyres etc.

Heres a pic of my truck before i started:

anyway heres a few pics of the new motor i cleaned up and painted:
