Has anybody put one in to a patrol. If so what did you use and where did you put it. I tried searching but i didnt find anything.

i have one, just went to repco or Super cheap and get a Automatic Transmition cooler, cost around $60, I have it up the front on the drivers side in front the the A/C radiator, its supported by the front bar that goes down that connects to the front bonnet latch, used 2 flexi brackets that are used to hold after market central locking on as well to secure it
here is a pic of it installed without the grille

I believe there already is one in the Patrols, in the GQ's its basicly just a bit of pipe that loops around next to the radiator on the passenger side.
In the ute i replaced that with a V8 transmission auto transmission cooler.
These aren't particularly good photos....But might give u the idea.

with the locker i found that the power steer fluid would get too hot on runs with the standard tube one, it runs along that funny bash bar that protects the radiator and front of the engine. i removed that one and ran the low pressure return line off the box to the top port on the cooler and the return from the cooler to the resivouir came from the bottom barb. flows nice and works a treat, the cooler fluid is cool to the touch now.
