Extra Cabs with 4 seats

Shopping with a budget of 30k for a late model jap ute and have decided to get an extra cab/ club cab. Only need a 2 seater ute except for the very odd occasion where an extra seat would be real handy for a local trip. Really wanted a decent tray so dual cabs aren't ideal.

Tritons and hiluxes come in an extra cab so I have some good ones to choose from there. Only other ones as far as I can tell are Mazdas and Fords which I'm steering clear of, all my research tells me they aren't proving as reliable as the other two.

Few questions.

* Can all of the tritons and hiluxes around 02 - 05 have extra seats put in them though Even if I find a good one that doesn't have them can I get them put in or does it need to be a certain type from the factory.

* How much have people paid to get them put in

* Any others I'm missing in extra cabs Nissan never did them as far as I know

Aren't Hilux extra cabs 4 seaters from the factory? They used to be.

My cousin has a 2003 RA Rodeo extra cab and he had rear seats fitted as part of the deal. I think they were $700 fitted but not 100% sure on the price.

Yeah my 97 extra cab Hilux had rear seats standard.
My wife rode in there sometimes when we needed to fit 3 people but not comfortable for long trips.

maybe the hilux ones are standard in those models I dunno Hence the question. Thanks for that. Its hard to find info on this stuff.

They aren't meant to be comfy Definately not for long trips Just for when I really need that extra seat to get a couple of mates to soccer or volleyball, and somewhere to put the groceries or the dogs that won't get wet. They won't get used very often but it'd be good to have them for those couple of times where I really need them

You can always build an extension floor, with a canvas extension piece on it.

I had a 1997 dual cab Rodeo and I could sleep in the tray. It had an ARB canopy on it. If I wanted it all closed up I slept diagonally otherwise I dropped the tailgate and slept lengthways. Sometimes in bad weather I would close everything but still leave the tailgate down and just throw my Drizabone over my feet.

I'm 6 foot 2in tall too.
Keep in mind that the Rodeo dual cab has a bigger tray than a Hilux dual cab though.
