Hi guys
Does anyone know what is the biggest tyre i can get on my disco series 1 rims the fella at the shop reckons that i cant go above a 225/85/16 without getting new rims as well
My car is standard height no lift at all
Can anyone help

Well you can fit - 235/70 ( standard size), 235/85 (32 ") , 245/70 ( ideal size), 245/75, 255/70, 255/85 (33"), 265/70, 265/75 (32") all on stock 7" landy rims, i have seen wider/ taller but this will mean guard chopping and offset rims.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.

Russ, I run std height after market springs on mine with a 255/70/16 Mungral for track work. They do just kiss the front guards if you drive fast and bottom it out. Rear I made Z brackets and spaced out the rear guards at the back for the next few trips. Then I read some where, where you can cut and refold the back guards, done it, easy, for the extra piece of mine and it looks almost stock!
