Just curious where the resistors are for my fan blower motor. Are they in the switch or elsewhere?

Normally they are in a plastic block with the coild of wire in the airstream from the fan, cools itself then. They get too hot to be cooped up. Look for a plug and socket screwed into one of the ducts.

Stick your head down under the steering column as if you're going to suck off one of the pedals. :D
Turn your head to the left so you're looking at the air duct box and you'll see a black plastic part about the size of 2 matchboxes. Should have a wiring plug with about 5 wires in it. Thats the resistor. Should have a couple of phillips head screws that hold it in and Bobs your aunty.

Whats wrong with it? Its usually just a replaceable item, shouldnt be millions of dollars from Toyota. Only working on full speed?

Yeah, because it's bypassing the resistors getting full voltage, right? The wire coils are rat shit, and crumbled when I got them out.

Yeah its rooted and there's probably nothing a sparky can do for you. I do corolla and camry resistors all the time and they are under $50 genuine so check Toyota out. If for some reason they are crazy expensive or even discontinued :shock: I should have a decent one here in a 60 I'm wrecking if you're interested.
