40 body on a 60 series
Thinking a 40 ute cab on a 60 series chassis would be cool.

your going to have to do custom body mounts, and probably cut some of the front of the chassis off id imagine.

your going to have to do custom body mounts, and probably cut some of the front of the chassis off id imagine.
all you would need to do is turn the tub upside down, run 45x45 tube across the mounting points on the tub, weld in the mouting tabs so the tun bolts to the tabs ,flip the body, sit ontop of the chassis, get it level, pack teh tube to chassis, WELD unbolt, cut off excess tube.
front guards are even easyer!
apron, end of story
use the 60 series steering column and shaft and your about ready to rock.
just make sure you line up the tub properly so the front wheels are centred in the front guards, although being a little forward wont harm it.
hardest part of this mod would be designing the tray.
HOWEVER
if you ask me, i would do this same excersize with a GQ patrol Chassis.

Seen a build up with an 80 series chassis under a 45 cab, was a sweet looking truck.

I did read somewhere on here that it had changed recently, but dont believe it to be so as I have still heard of at least one rhino buggy hammer being registerd as nissan patrols.

the 45 on to 60 series chassi, as soemthing i was thinking about a week or so ago.
if all it requires, is the fabrication of body mounts, leveling of the body to the chassi, to get the cab on, it doesnt seam like a hard job, and like mentioned all the 60 series benifits.

his next project was an 80 on a 60. decided he wasnt that keen on 1hz after the 40/80
Drive it as far as you can then sleep in it and get up and do it all again!
