The cheapest price I got for an ARB air locker fitted for my 07 Hilux was $1540 from Ontrak 4x4 in Melbourne.
ARB Richmond wanted 1700 or so,
Opposite Lock wanted $1850 for a Detroit fitted, and TJM Coburg wanted $2500 for their Pro Locker.....mate, what a rip off.
I heard from a bloke on the 4x4 monthly forum that 4WD Systems that make the Ezi Lockers and the like are launching in the next month a full locking electric activated locker.
I know its slightly off topic but I thought Id mention it.

The cheapest you can get them is $1100 (most will offer a discount to $1150) since early months this year when ARB put the price up. Before that you could get them for $1000 if you knew the right people. It's ridiculous you can get them shipped here from the US cheaper than they will sell them here.CWBYUP wrote:Thats a good price considering what ARB sell them for.big lux wrote:if u wna go US cn get it on yur door for $920 aus i was quoted

Im here for the sausage!
i have to admit my first call to ARB i was quoted 1090.
next call was to out of town 4wd $1219
But as im after a couple of items, i thought i might try to find a more hardcore store and get abit of a bulk discount.
also, i would rather support a store which caters for people into hardcore wheeling.
but yeah see how i go, on prices.
i can get a brand new lockrite from the states for $300 + postage.
hope i find an ARB at the right price.

If you were in Melbourne I'd HIGHLY suggest the lads at Wombat 4x4. They seriously bent over backwards to help me out a while back when I was getting the ratios and front locker I supplied installed (ie nothing in it for them). Ended up getting a darn good deal on an ARB for the rear, and a darn good deal on everything else as well.
Apparently people think I'm too patronising (that means I treat them like they’re stupid).

getting a couple of good hints on here.
i also only wanted 1 locker.
it worked out roughly $400 more for 2 new ones. so i thought why not save the cash and jsut buy 1 new one.
so its on order now just see when or if it turns up.
