I picked some up from Colrain truck parts. By memory they were about $30 each for 90 and 45 deg bends.

truck bits in dandenong. they're about $30 or so each. I got one 90deg bend and two 45deg bends, 8 clamps for around $100. add that to the $12 i paid for 2 metres of pipe, a few man-hours and that's a cheaper and better looking snorkel than anything @RB sells! oh, and make sure you get the clamps that have no ratchett holes as they will wear through the rubber more easily.

the place was a scrap joint in bayswater, almost opposite bunnings but can't remember the name. it's not stainless but aluminium, 4". they also had stainless for the same price (around $6 per kg) but stainless was a bit harder to come by in 4' tube. it's in really good condition and super easy to cut through. welding brackets is painful, need TIG to do it on aluminium.

hey guys

for those that have done it, how do u prevent water getting in the top part of the snorkle using just that rubber elbow? i put mine on and have been reluctant to let the car see the rain as yet for fear of the water getting sucked in or, when parked, just running in. i used 4 inch alloy for my snorkle and just painting it black to blend in with the car.

cheers
