GQ lwb factory book wanted.

Post by KRI55 »

Hi again,
I bought my patrol about 3 weeks ago and it has no books in it to show me what everything is.
I know the obvious things, but there are straps all over the place that i have no idea about.
It would be nice to have 1 of these books if i can get 1.

I've posted this in the wanted section, but have had no replies.
Also, where are the jack handle and wheel brace supposed to go??
Thanx james. :)

Jack handle and wheel brace is supposed to be under the rear seats.. Mine didnt when i bought mine from the caryard and didnt realise it until it was too late. if you fold the rear seats back you will see a bracket meant to hold the handle there.

A book on patrols?? get the gregorys manual.. more comprehensive. I have one and i didnt get a 'patrol book' either when i bought my GQ. Wasnt worth the trouble chasing down one.

Jack handles.. if its not there.. tough luck.. they barely fit under a lifted GQ.. so may have to chase a hi lift one if you have the moolah and tuck it somewhere.

Regards
Tom

Go the gregorys, in some ways more comprehensive than the factory workshop manuals. You can get the genuine workshop manuals as a spare part from the nissan dealers, bout 120 bucks for both in the series.
Built, not bought.

I did the same as Bogged and bought mine on eBay.. cost me $10 plus postage.. I also bought the factory workshop manual on eBay which IMO is far more comprehensive than a Gregory's Manual, although the Gregory's is a better read on the basics..

I also have the workshop manuals..

there are some errors in the Gregorys one, like capacities of fluids...

The Glovebox version is nothing flash but yea, go the Gregorys as a basic one, the Genuine Factory manuals are $100's
