too good to be true - recently while working at a mechanical shop a new customer rolled in a gu 4.8l it looked very tidy - duel fuel - 30000 k's and paid not much for it. All he would say was he got for a real good price. We had the car more than him as it had fault after fault. During the first repair it was easy to see the patrol had been involved in a major smash. It never was 100%

Just go carefully

It'll be a scam, info will be ripped from carsales.com.au or the like.

New ebay user with no feedback is a dead giveaway.

Hit the buy it now and tell him you will pick the car up with COD, I'll bet he wants the money in an account, wire transferred overseas "because he has moved over there for work on short notice", etc.

He lists COD as payment method, so do it COD and get the car inspected before purchase.
Like it says on the ebay page, don't wire or transfer the funds. And definitely not if he's overseas. For a saving like that it's worth a trip to Sydney to look at it, and if he won't agree to that, then walk away, actually run away.

We bought a 4.5 6 months ago for $13000, not well maintained but Ok, another customer paid $9500 for a 4.5 GU with a filthy interior, I just bought a blown up 2.8 TD for $3000 thats getting a L76 next year. If you don't mind the work there are cheapies out there.

This is the email we reieved from him

> Hello,

Thank you for contacting me about the Nissan Patrol. The total price is
9,600 $ AU.
The car is in excelent condition as you can see in the pics.
It is located in BERLIN,GERMANY and I will ship it from here.
It has a CLEAN TITLE a great history and mechanically without any
problems ever safety check and pre-delivery inspection along with a
fresh servicing before

I ship or deliver the vehicle.I always kept it in my garage, away from
bad weather and it looks gorgeous.
The problem is that in the meanwhile I had to move with my family in
Germany.
Unfortunately I am forced to let it go.You see, due to my job I had to
move and I just found a great house offer.
The thing is that I have to make a deposit so I can be sure that I won't
loose this great offer.
On the other hand, I hope I will find someone who will treat this baby
like I did.

Shipping will be done whit DAS(airfreight) and it will take no more then
3 days.
I have a friend there who will manage me a low price shipping and I
assumed that it is my duty to pay for shipping it.It will be delivered
directly to your address.
Anyway, I have to let you know that I want a fast deal so if you are
really interested in buying it,
please reply with the following
information's:
-Your full name ;
-FULL address(with zip code);

I will look for your email,so that we can move forward

Ask him for some recent pictures of it ( as these ones on ebay have QLD plates and must be old) . Pictures of it taken on the autobahn or outside his current house on the scamthebastardsstrasse would be nice.

I think yahoo maybe interested in his addy.
