and Tony , Mick G and BeeBee have seen the secret stuff (all within walking distance from each-other) as yet unused , it may not be perfect for a full on comp but for a fun weekend , local and under my insurance , so long as its un-timed and managed well , all will be ok. I am open for suggestions. I believe DM has seen this property before it was developed and did ask if we could hold a winch series round here as did the organisers of the QLD winch series , but the infrastructure for spectators to the best area for that type of competion is not in place yet. As for a play around 4 or 5 stage rock crawling test run forwards on Sat and in Reverse on Sun I would be all for it , even if it didnt pull a big crowd. I would love to help and to watch. I was thinking of a similar idea , and that was when I showed Mick G and as I said BeeBee saw some of it when the footage of his truck was taken here by 4wd TV last.

In short I am open to suggestions and do believe that there are areas that people have not seen that may be perfact for a few stages and if it is accapted then I am more than pleased to hold an event here , and do some work to help clear a course in the interest of you guys having some fun so the rest of us guys can watch.

cheers

why does it have to be a comp? why not just a peer pressure assisted drive around some rocks/hills/creeks or whatever.... someone can keep points etc. and then everyone can drive, move onto the next thing etc.

turning it into a "comp" limits places to go, where as an outing keeping points driving stupid lines and shit is just a group of lads having fun.

My point exactly , this is the same thoughts that I had for a 'let your hair down' end of year event for fun. Remember the first , 'Put up or Shut up' where teams were pairing up and dueling each other , like that.

I should ask , Dave M do you want to call me or will I start a new thread. I dont want to be seen to be hijacking this one of yours and you are most welcome to have input on what happens from here , unless you want to give free reign for something else to start.

XRCC

:D :D :D

Due to the unforseen early loading of vehicles to the RFC I had to cancel/pospone the Round. I had proposed other dates to the venue but they were unsatisfactory to them.

"Project Xtreme" has seen a lot of time & money (sponsors support & product) put in to get this project under way and completed in time for Malaysia, and is the main thing on my mind at this moment. I am one who wants to give the sponsors back as much as they have put in.

I felt bad about having to cancel this Round but it had to happen due to the above.

It would have been great to have been able to run this round of Procomp XRCC, but as it is not going to happen, I wish all who are trying to put together an event (even if it is unofficial) the best and if I can help out with any gear to make your job easier I am just a phone call away.

Cheers

We always do the ring around when we go wheelin and there are very few that are game enough to come play

The main idea is to get a comp running that is for 'tuff' rigs not buggies or tuff-trucks. Hopefully a setout that allows maximum driving and the chance to pick up some tips and tricks from others with similar rigs and setups. We want to aim at competitive technical driving instead of the stupidly extreme (thats for when you enter WEROCK!!) If you want mindless crash and bash then go enter superior allterrain.

Some initial specs:
35"min - 40"max tyres
F&R lockers
Oem chassis from centerline of Front diff to Centerline of Rear diff - dimensionally unchanged.
Full bonnet, firewall and floorpan (ute sizing as minimum) minor alterations accecptable. guards preferred.minimum of half doors and windor nets.
Full rollcage as per most comps - and all the usual safety stuff!!
Winch and sufficient recovery equipment - self recovery!!!
No portal or drop-reduction differentials.
No rear steer.
No rego required.

I will set out some full rules in time, but we are trying to make it fairly informal. As stated, we are trying to give the well modified rigs something to test themselves with!! and a chance to challenge their mates!!

Greg why not run with Daves XRCC rules otherwise your going to be making another class that will alianate competitors that want to compete in both. The rules and Specs are allready there and suit all the rigs you are looking to accomidate.

BOOF: no teams, just 'old school' rig wheelin like the good old days. The old 37" format was sweet and a lot of good rigs were built around this, but nowdays there are also some tuff well designed comp trucks on anything from 35's to 38.5"'s. The idea is to get back to a good core group of guys that love to wheel hard and have fun!!!

you will find, if driven with some brains tyre size is no real penalty. It is definately preferable that you have your own winch, but talk to us closer to the date and we may be able to work something out, especially if you have mates attending and are willing to help drag you out if you break something.

sorry pete, but contrary to your other thread, we will be sticking to our original format and ideas (for this one at least).
Rover Park will be the venue for the initial round, and will be run using the tried and tested XRCC rules, with an emphasis on good smart driving. The only real change will be an ample DNF time to give all competitiors a full drive of each course. XRCC mod truck was the best comp we have ever entered, and i am sure many will agree we all learnt so much from participating in it. This is what we are aiming to replicate, even if it may be only as a fill in.
I know a few rigs that are very keen, so i hope we are able to get a good bunch of guys together.

Hey its all good , just trying to put another option out there for you guys to have fun. As i said earlier I am not interested for this one to look at it from a business point of view , just casual.

Best of luck with your ideas , pity we couldnt work together , so when r u looking at running at Rover park , so If I get some interest that we dont clash and maybe some of the more keen compeditors can do both?

I'm keen for this but are you ruling out Pro mod buggies, makes it hard for me being the only pro mod in QLD and I can only drive it in 2 comps WE Rock and SATC. I just want to wheel it more these days but I can't as no one will let you unless it's a comp!!! But if you have it on the 24-25 Nov will rule me out as it's my club xmas party weekend.

Damo Read Gregs coments. Only full bodied rigs :?

And mindless Crash and bash is for superier  Only if your welcome to compete there though

All this sort of stuff just makes you want to go out on the quiet and just wheel stuff with mates

So between Werock and SATC, you've got 8 comps a year. There's guys out there that ONLY compete in XRCC and with that cancelled, we're just trying to fill the void. I'd like to cater for everyone but that's not possible.
