MK FRONT DIFF REBUILD QUIREY

Post by popeye »

Hi guys,
Need some advice on a MK front diff rebuild.
1st; My axles only have one copper thrust washer (long axle) is this normal as my workshop manual does not stipulate this.
2nd: Nissan melbourne want $76.15 for the birfield seal, thought this a tad expensive, would I be better off going aftermarket, do these have a good reliability factor?
Any advice would help. :?:

Mine had thrust washers on both axles, and I've got an aftermarket swivel hub kit in mine and havn't had any worries yet. Think i paid $120? for a complete kit which had the seals, hub seals, top and bottom swivel hub bearings, and something else can't remember for both sides.
MK Patrol SWB, Lift, lockers, ATZs or Simex ETs, winch and custom bar, Snorkel, daily, abused.

Thanks dattopimp,
The one thrust washer had me puzzeled thought this could not be right and the Nissan part seemed a lot of money for just one seal, think Ill give the aftermarket stuff a go.
