Vortex Diesel

Post by Toli »

Anyone tried this and how much more expensive is it compared to normal diesel. There is not one close to me so I have not been able to have a look.

Or is it just a marketing item. I can not help but think of the Simpsons when in the duff factory they show them Duff light, duff dry and normal duff. When you look up they are all being filled with the same pipe. :D

I put it in my Surf most weeks and it's still a slow, smokey arsed piece of $hit. I don't really notice the price increase, I think it's 136.9 and above most weeks, diesel's expensive no matter where you go down here !!!

I use it, as I have a servo on the way to work with it, and I have found that the car blows a lots less smoke, but in saying that, I feel that the performance has gone to the wayside for this. and I need all i can in a 2.8!

I just think it sucks that most fuel companies' diesel does not meet the cetane requirements of my old 1993 Rocky

Some are min 44, some 49... I need 51 or higher it states in the manual.
Lucky our deisel at work is 54.3

I always thought BP diesel runs really well also. Wish we had this vortex up here.
