Hi. Just a query with hooking up a gps to a laptop for navigation. I have a Silva multinav gps. i have the computer cable to link to laptop to gps. Does anybody know what maps/programs are compatible with this type of gps. can i plug the gps to the computer then with the compatible program run it through the laptop???

As long as it can output the NMEA data. Then something like Oziexplorer should work. GPS australia may get you some maps. Google for both links.
