can a transmission handbrake from a patrol (GQ/GU) be put into my 80 series landcruiser?

has anyone used these on another car?
any ideas on feasibility

I thought I had seen somewhere in the US where they have fitted a disc handbrake to the rear of the transfercase.
May have been on a Hilux.

marks adaptors do a kit, but a bit pricey i heard though and you also need to shorten your tailshaft by 30mm or something like that.

thanks guys. as far as i know these are on hiluxes (disc with caliper) or older split transfer case cruisers (drum brake). the split cases are on 40, 60 and 70 series cruisers.
