hi guys
thats my first post
i'm going to buy a new set of simex tires and have some questions
simex Extreme Trekker 2 35/11.5-15

in the foto above seems to be like two blocks and not Triple blocks whice i personaly dont like it. is that for real?
the et2 35/11.5/15 has two or three blocks on the middle?
do any of you guys has the 35/11.5/15 on a tj?
pics would be great!

another question is that if i can put these on 15x10" width rim?

There are two sizes available which have three lugs in the center -
36x12.5
35x12.5

The 35x11.5 have two center lugs, which i believe are wider spaced than the 10.5 = good!

different sidebiters, outer lugs are spaced more and more squared on the et2, and i believe that the et2 has a stronger sidewall(dont quote me on that last point)

In both the series, different size tyres have 2 or 3 rows of centre lugs, it does not depict the model neccesarily.

Back on topic (sort of) an 11.5 on a 10" rim? I don't think that's ideal. I'd be on an 8.

In my opinion, simex's are very "loose" on their rims and do not tolerate low pressure well at all. Putting them on a very wide rim will only make this problem worse.

I think that also depends on the design and manufacture of the rim.

On Disco2 rims they are sweet. Looking at the rims in the shops, there are definately good/bad rims for 4WDing, and many have the most irrelevant bead groove.

On Disco2 rims they are sweet. Looking at the rims in the shops, there are definately good/bad rims for 4WDing, and many have the most irrelevant bead groove.
my set up is 5.5" re la on 35/14.5"boggers w/Black Rock Crawler 15x10s 3.75bs,

so i thougth maybe could hold back the extra money for new 15x8s rims.
about the section width i've read that is approx 316mm (12.4 inches) thats my comfort because i dont want to go to much narrow as 35/10.5s on 15x8s are..

I'm sure you're right - my experience is based on typically, roh trak II white 8 spokes, but they are way, way looser than swampers.

If modus is trying to get away without buying new rims I would go to the 36 12.5 because they'd be happier on 10's IMHO.

If you actully read the side of 12.5 et2 it does say recomended rim
size is 10 inch.

my et's were 35x10.5 and myet2's are 36x12.5. the et2s are 100% better on the road, not that it matters too much as i don't use my car for anything but 4x4 but if you have to drive more than an hour to where you are wheeling it's nice to not get shaken to bits. they seem to make my truck feel a bit more stable with the extra width. they have worn heeeeeeeeeaaaaaapppppps beter. i run about 8-12 psi depending on what terrain on flipped 15x8 white spokers with no b/locks. i have rolled them but it takes a BIG hit to do it. definately hang on better than any tyre i've had before. i gave my ets to a mate and he likes them way better on 15x7 rims. i'll be getting another set of et2s in same size(36x12.5) soon so i can the ones i have now up north at xmas and not care about wearing them out. i havent staked on yet too, they are strong as in the side wall. we'll so far anyway.
