I had an Airlocker in the front of my old IFS Extracab Lux and it worked brilliantly.

Couple of my friends have them in 2003 model Luxs. They're running 32s and 33s and havent had any dramas yet. From my understanding of IFS lux CVs the inner CV seems to be the weak point. If you lock up the front on tarmac and try to drive normally you'll probably break a CV or if you're driving with lots of skinny pedal offroad. From what I've seen on Outers the ARB centre carrier seems to be a lot stronger than the stock Toyata carrier and stops the crown gear from deflecting and stripping teeth.
I have an auto locker in my ifs you can get one imported for under $400 including freight and its performance is great, my only problem is now i have to wait for everybody to have their second and third attempts, you can also steer but it does take a little bit to get used to. Does not effect on road driveability in any way
if you aint covered in mud you aint trying hard enough

IMO the biggest difference between an auto locker & air locker on IFS vehicles, is the air locker supports the crown wheel more (reducing deflection, as mentioned above). The auto locker just replaces the spider gears, ect. so no added strength to the crown wheel when under load.
If you drive smoothly, then the auto locker should be OK, but if you dump the clutch a lot may have issues.
