80s CV into a 60s

Post by justinshere »

Hey

First off, asking for a mate
Hes got a 60 series been breaking CVs abit in the last few wks.
Are 80 series CVs stronger than 60 ones?
And will the CV from an 80s fit onto the axle and in the 60 diff?

Cheers

i think 80s cv's are to big to fit in a 60s. late model 75 cv's are slightly stronger than 60s

At that price for 30 spline longfields why would you bother stuffing around trying to find a stronger one that might fit. Yeah this link suits hilux, but its only 1 inner axle that is different or just ask the boyes there about 27 spline longfields. I only run 27's in my hilux as they are sweet.

We can get the 30 spline super set to suit the 60 series if you like.

But not the 75 - correct? Do the kits as per gut's link come with the chromo hub gears too?

I'm sure the hub gears and CV's are the same as hilux/60s, but I've never seen axles for a 75 series. But if you could find out if they're available for us that'd be great!

75 series CV are the same as 60 series bierfields .. the deal come in the inner axle .. the long side it's shorter in the 75 series compared to 60 series ..

You can go with axles swap for one of 60 series and install the cromo 30 spline set ..

Or keep your 75 series axle and just run the 27 splines bierfiedls with stock innners ..

You are right .. old 75 series with front low pinion share the same bierfields as 60 series ..

And I thought the new 75 series with front HP share the same bierfields with 80 series ?
